When deciding on a fake tan we think you should use what is probably the worlds best – Fake Bake. Many Hollywood stars use Fake Bake as it gives a very intense tan yet sun kissed and natural in colour. We only use Fake Bakes’ own supplied spray tanning equipment and their tanning booth with high quality ventilation. This ensures you will get a great tan in the safest surroundings.

A top quality Fake Bake tanning solution is applied by our qualified therapists using the spray gun. A lovely even natural tan develops within 6/8 hours, with maximum colour within 24 hours. Whilst the tan develops within the first 6/8 hours you should avoid contact with water, other fluids or sprays and keep your skin completely dry – better still if you can leave it overnight.

We do three levels of tan – Original, Medium or Dark. The original tan is great for first time tanners or those who do not want to go too dark whilst the dark is great for those who want a deeper tan. 

On average your spray tan will last for 7 to 10 days. For best lasting results we recommend: -

1. You gently exfoliate your body with Fake Bakes Passion Fruit Body Polish 5 to 7 days after your tan. To ensure your tan fades evenly and to prepare your self for your next tan we also suggest you repeat this exfoliation every 2 days thereafter.
   
2. Following exfoliation use Fake Bake Smoothie Oil or Oil Free Moisturiser daily to help lock in the tan.

Please Note:

Professional spray tanning is only effective if your skin is thoroughly prepared. Exfoliation with an oil and soap free exfoliator is a must and should be done by you prior to coming to us for your treatment. We recommend Fake Bakes’ Passion Fruit Body Polish with added anti-oxidants of pomegranate. We sell this in the Salon or on our Shopping Page.  

Also, avoid applying any other self tanning products for a week prior to your tanning treatment also do not wax or shave for at least 24 hours before and do not apply deodorant, perfume make-up, moisturiser or body lotion on the day of your tanning.  Please wear looser fitting darker clothes during tanning development period.

* Exfoliation can be done in the salon by prior arrangement, this will add up to 20 minutes to the time at a cost of £15 for full body, £10 for upper body or legs.   

We are proud to be home to the Aurora Vertical Tanning Unit with internal music. It is a very state of the art high powered, fast tanning machine with an internal cooling fan for comfort, offering clients a choice of either 3, 6, 9 or 12 minute sessions depending on their skin type and usage.

Vertical Sunbeds are renowned for their hygiene factor as there is no lying down where others have laid and they are also fantastic at giving an even tan, no white spots and no need to have to keep turning over.

It is safe to say that this piece of tanning equipment has been a huge success and praised over  and over again by our clients.

All of our clients are advised to wear eye protection once in the tanning unit. We sell goggles which can be used continuously, these cost £1.00. Alternatively, we sell winkies which are disposable after one use and these cost 20p.

Our clients are also given a client loyalty card which they bring with them each time they come to use the tanning unit and after 9 three minute sessions have been purchased, the 10th three minute session is free.
